Looking for some ways to move and stretch your body positively in 2021? Try these fun yoga positions guaranteed to make you smile!
1.Cat~Cow Pose
To get into the popular cat-cow position, on your yoga mat (or anywhere you can relax), get low to the ground on all fours and breathe. Arch your back outward, away from the ground, to obtain the “cat” position, focusing on the stretch down your spine, then hold, then curve your back inward away from the sky, and lift your head to get into the “cow” position. This yoga stretch should stretch your back and abdomen, and you can add a few ‘moo’s if you want!
2. Crow Pose
Make sure to stay safe while trying this intermediate-level pose, where the arms support the body weight as the knees are drawn up off the ground and rest on the bicep. Practicing and mastering this pose is a fun challenge, and the pose itself increases strength, flexibility and is a great way to impress yourself.
3.Pigeon Pose
The pigeon pose is created by sitting on the ground, one leg straight behind you while the other is bent in front of you, the knee and side of the foot touching the ground. This position is sure to stretch your hips and relieve any tension or stress you may be holding in that part of the body. The stretch is great, but make sure to breathe through it and do the pose on both legs.
4. Reclined Bound Angle Pose
This pose is meant to stimulate tranquility and calmness and aid you in meditation and happiness. Simply lie on the mat, your back on the ground and your arms out beside you, palms up. Bend your knees and have the bottoms of your feet touching to complete the pose.
5. Warrior Pose
In the warrior pose, your arms and quads are targeted. To get into warrior pose, you hold a lunge with your body facing the side as you stretch your arms out horizontally, reaching both before and behind you. This pose is sure to make you feel super powerful and stretch your arms and legs.
